Do you also believe that manufacturing paper is detrimental to our environment?

The prevalent notion that paper is manufactured at the cost of cutting trees is incorrect.

No existing forests are cut in the process. Instead, only trees used for making paper are cut which are cultivated in marshlands. This is similar to agriculture, just like cultivating any crop.
With the rapid advancement in the technologies, these forests can be created in just five years.

Furthermore, it is easy to recycle the paper and reuse it. On average, around 70% of the paper in the world is already recycled. This ensures, unlike electronic gadgets, complete recyclability.

Additionally, over 70% of the total country’s production of paper is contributed by non-wood based paper mills. These paper mills manufacture eco-friendly paper from agro residues such as wheat straw, rice straw, bagasse, sarkanda etc. This way, otherwise waste and waste paper is converted into inputs for making paper, thereby further reducing the need to cut trees.

Hence, the notion that paper is a by-product of destroying forests and the environment is wrong.

We, at HSM Packaging Pvt Ltd, have been doing our part to minimise the ecological footprint of our operations. We do this by way of using 100% recycled and agro-based paper for 95% of our products, implementing efficient recycling process and using environmentally friendly inks.

The main advantage that HSM can offer your business, from an environmental perspective, is the ability to maintain a packaging design’s effectiveness and appeal, whilst reducing its impact on the environment.
